1. Your Narrative Essay on your personal story of how you ended up pursuing a college degree. This story will cover moments that shaped your decision, internal conflict in deciding what course to pursue in your life, people that helped influence you to make this decision, etc. The essay needs to be between 1 1/2 to 2 pages, no longer. I will be grading on length, structure/organization, content, and grammar. This is due at the beginning of class.

5:30 Class: Write a reflection journal on why you have a certain point of view of something. Share a story from you past that illuminates why you think or believe a certain way. Use page 180 Critical-Thinking and Writing Activity question #1 as reference.
7:00 Class: You will use a topic from the presidential debate we watched in class. You will write a reflection journal and share a story of why you fall on one side or the other of one of the topics that the two candidates discussed. The story will show your point of view of why you think that way.
