2. Journal Assignment: Read and respond to this article Utah Higher Education It must be a half page. We will be discussing the article in class, so come prepared.

3. Bring your draft for your 1st essay: Describing a Picture. The final version of this paper will be due on Wednesday, February 8.

Purpose of this paper: 1) Describe a picture that you choose in essay format. 2) The readers should be able to read the essay, then look at the picture and the description should match up with the picture.

1. Read Chapter 2

2. Choose your picture that you will be describing for your 1st paper. MAKE SURE TO BRING IT WITH YOU TO CLASS. You will start working on your first draft in class this Wednesday.

3. Journal Assignment: Write about Physical Exercise using deductive or inductive reasoning. It can be about any part of exercise, whether you like it or dislike it, or everyone should be doing it, etc. Must be AT LEAST half a page, double spaced.

1. Journal Assignment: Pick an advertisement from a magazine, newspaper, or online. Describe the image briefly, then EITHER evaluate or interpret the image. Use chapter 1 as a resource on how to evaluate or interpret an image. Journal must be at least 1/2 a page, double spaced. You MUST also attach the ad that you are evaluating or interpreting. Thanks.
